There are a lot of 800mm mirror lenses (Samyang, Rokinon
, Vivitar
, Bower
, Phoenix
, Opteka
etc.) on the market and most of them are very similiar with the only one difference: label.
As you can see, these type of lenses costs around 200-300$. It is about 40-50 times less than price of Canon 800mm. Disadvantages: manual focus and absence of image stabilizer may make you crazy if you have no tripod.

As I've said already, it is pretty hard to use this lenses without tripod.
Samyang 800mm is mounted onto Canon EOS 450D via T-Mount -> EF

You can also buy 2x converter
to get amazing 2560mm focal length

Install it and your camera and lenses will start looking like RPG 40 Antitank Grenade or some part of gas mask:
